Creamy Tuscan Chicken
A rich and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. Perfect for a comforting dinner!
Method
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet for extra flavor. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. Cook until the spinach is wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Serve immediately with pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
Notes
For added richness, use half-and-half in place of heavy cream. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for presentation.
