What the site stores on your device
Features such as Favorites, Recently Viewed recipes, ingredient checks, the Grocery List, and Cook Mode timers use your browser's local storage. Timer records include the recipe, step context, duration, and intended finish time so an active timer can recover after navigation or reopening the site. These device-local records are not accounts, profiles, or a database maintained by The Flavor Collective.
Offline app storage
If your browser supports the installed-app and offline features, a service worker may cache core site pages, recipe instructions, scripts, styles, icons, and other app-shell files on your device. The current app can prepare recipe-detail pages for offline cooking even before you open each recipe individually. Recipe photos are not all downloaded during installation; images you view may be cached separately as you browse. This storage exists to keep core kitchen tools and recipe instructions useful when the connection is poor or unavailable. Your browser or operating system controls that storage and can remove it when site data is cleared or the installed app is removed.
Traffic and hosting data
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Like other web infrastructure providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and measure the site. The Flavor Collective currently does not add a separate advertising tracker or third-party analytics script to recipe pages.
Legacy recipe images
Most canonical recipe photography is now served from repository-controlled site assets. A small number of unresolved legacy records may still reference older WordPress-hosted media while provenance or a truthful replacement is reviewed. Loading an externally hosted image can send routine technical request information, such as an IP address and browser request headers, to that media host.
Recipe submissions and accounts
The public site does not currently offer user accounts or public recipe submissions. If those features are added later, this page will be updated before they are enabled.
Affiliate links
The site does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed clearly and the privacy implications of any related services will be reflected here.
